Corsa dei Vaporetti
Every June in the historic center of Spoleto one of the craziest and most original events in Umbria takes place, the Corsa dei Vaporetti.
Vaporetti are small vehicles with metal wheels whose crew is made up of two people: the pusher, who runs at breakneck speed and takes care of the pushing and braking, and the driver who, remaining inside the vaporetto, has the task of stay on course along the large snake that winds downhill from the historic center to Piazza Garibaldi.
