Fonti del Clitunno

The source of the Clitunno river creates a lake with very clear waters with emerald reflections on an area of almost 10,000 m2 along the Via Flaminia a few minutes from Spoleto. The park is home to lush vegetation made up of weeping willows, poplars and numerous other plant species such as moss or aquatic nasturtium.
Near the Springs stands the Tempietto sul Clitunno, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and also included among the sites that can be visited free of charge every first Sunday of the month.

Marmore waterfalls

The Marmore waterfall is the highest artificial waterfall in Europe and among the highest in the world, boasting a total height difference of 165 m divided into three jumps. The Marmore Falls area is equipped with visit paths, an Environmental Education Center and services. It is possible to take guided tours and outdoor activities managed by qualified personnel. Access to the area is subject to a fee and the Park is open at variable times depending on the season.

Norcia

There are two reasons that make Norcia famous: San Benedetto and gastronomy. Saint Benedict was the first monk of Christianity and founder of the Benedictine order; cured meats make Norcia famous throughout the world (the name norcino comes from the city of Norcia), as do truffles, spelled, lentils and cheeses.

Castelluccio

Castelluccio di Norcia has long been recognized internationally as the homeland of outdoor sports, the number of activities that take place in the Castelluccio area is incredible. Between the end of May and mid-July, the Castelluccio plateau also witnesses a particularly important event, the Flowering. For several weeks the chromatic monotony of the pasture is broken by a mosaic of colours, with variations in tones ranging from yellow ocher to red. Even though the flowering festival usually falls on the third and last Sunday of June, there is no specific day to admire this enchanting spectacle. Every year everything is entrusted to the climatic trend of the season.

Scheggino

It feels like being in a doll’s town when you arrive in Scheggino: it is a village close to the Nera river where you can breathe a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Water is one of the characteristics of the town, because not only does it give the landscape a particular charm and freshness, but it is also an essential element for the community as fishing for brown trout and freshwater prawns has had a notable influence on the gastronomic culture of the area. Scheggino is ten minutes from Spoleto, and is made up of picturesque streets and stone houses, narrow lanes and the castle.

Trevi

Trevi is “Città dell’Olio” (Extra-virgin Olive oil town), “Città Slow”, “Città Bio”, Orange Flag of the Touring Club, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and has obtained the Emas environmental certification.

Montefalco

Montefalco is the City of Wine and the City of Oil. To enhance the native wine, Sagrantino di Montefalco, a food and wine and cultural route called “The Sagrantino road” has been established which winds along five neighboring villages that shine with art, unique flavors and aromas.

Spello

The town of Spello is known for the Infiorata: an event during which Corpus Domini is celebrated. Every year, since the 1930s, artists crowd the streets and show their works made with flower petals and inspired by religious events.
